20th Anniversary Party!

This year celebrated 20 years of Oarlock and Sail Wooden Boat Club. We held a barbecue at the dock with a launch of our first book, music by Arnt Jeffrey Arntzen, dinghy rides, tours of the float house with the newest ongoing build, the 12.5 sailing dinghy Gartside Riff and special guest Alison Knowles who started the club 20 years ago. Was a beautiful sunny day with lots of people, food, music and conversation. If you missed it here are some highlights….

P1310718 — Music was supplied by Arnt Arntzen (board member) on drums, Arnt Arntzen (nephew) on banjo and Rob O’dea (president) on guitar. We had people dancing on the docks and the seawall! Georgina Arntzen also played mandolin and sang.

NOW TO THE BOOK LAUNCH!

The book is available at the float house for $25 and all proceeds go to the Club to enable more building of boats!

P1310729 — Peter Pierobon and Valerie Arntzen (both board members) put together a book to mark the 20 year anniversary. They got lots of great stories by interviewing Alison Knowles, Dave Bradford and Gerry Stensgaard and lots of people sent in photos.
