Members here are a couple links you may be interested in.  One is about the sale of Night Wind on our dock and the other is about the submarine on the lawn of the Maritme Museum.

There is an online auction of Night Wind this weekend.  As some of you know, Michael sold Night Wind last year and unfortunately the new owner, Doug, has had to put her back up for sale. In the short time that he has owned her Doug has had her hauled and had the bottom painted and has also installed a self furling jib, a new battery bank, invertor, and a lot of other items. Some of his purchases include two new solar panels that are still in their boxes waiting to be installed as well as a new VHF and antenna that also needs to be hooked up.
Night Wind was very well maintained and we are alerting you to the auction in case you are interested or know of someone interested in a fine wooden boat. It is a no reserve auction and is on-line only a week Saturday so it could potentially slip under the radar.

It was a beautiful day on Saturday, so Ragna got a bit of a cleaning, and then as the breeze was beckoning, Arnt and I took her out for a sail – there was a nice light breeze, and it felt SO good!! Dale showed up at the dock in his nicely built SCAMP, which was duly inspected and admired, and then he and Arnt went out for some match racing friendly sailing. I traded off with Arnt after a while, and enjoyed another round.

Meanwhile work on Vogler in the boat shed, the hull got all the rivet holes on the outside filled with putty, and the gunwales, stern, and seats got another coat of varnish – the brightwork is looking gorgeous!
